Benjamin Sweetman

Co-Founder and Chief Platform Officer

Benjamin Sweetman is Co-Founder and Chief Platform Officer of MBD Clarendon. He oversees the design and implementation of the firm’s banking, settlement, and transaction infrastructure, including coordination with strategic technology partners and regulated financial institutions.

Benjamin works closely with government, central-bank, banking, and operating partners to support the practical deployment of MBD Clarendon’s sovereign and local investment platforms.

He has worked across global trading and settlement systems since 2011 and has managed Sinocap Financial Group Ltd., his family office, since 2014. His markets experience includes block trading and dividend-arbitrage transactions across multiple jurisdictions, with aggregate trade values exceeding $40 billion.

More recently, Benjamin has focused on Latin American capital markets, real estate, and cross-border government-related transactions. Before managing his family office, he served as a regional manager for a leading diamond consortium and qualified as a graduate gemologist.
